We are loading up the SUV and all six of us are heading east to Universal Studios! We are joining our friends from Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and Mom It Forward for a vacation we won’t want to forget. I’ll be doing a few things to make sure that every special memory is never forgotten.
Before you head out on your next trip, check out these 5 easy tips for capturing meaningful moments on a family vacation:
1. Family Photos

Whenever you are somewhere that you want to remember, hand your camera to a stranger and have them snap a photo of your family. That’s right, get MOM in the photo!
2. Hashtag
Create a unique hashtag for your vacation and add it to all of your social media posts from your vacation. Whenever you want to re-live your trip, visit Keyhole to track your hashtag. (This works great when you want to write about your trip later!)
3. Kids Perspective
Get your kids a digital camera or hand them your’s and let them capture the vacation from their perspective. Our daughter’s photos from our DC trip were so fun and show moments she treasured that we would of never thought about!
4. Vlog It!
Turn the video camera on and vlog your vacation. After our vacation is complete, I compile all of our videos into one and upload as a private video to YouTube.
5. Create a Keepsake
Get your vacation photos off of your computer and create a keepsake. Here are a few ideas from Pinterest: photo book, photo poster, make a canvas, create a shadow box, or make a memory jar.
