How Many Moms Are Blogging?
So you know so and so and so and so and then SO and SO who you didn’t even THINK knew how to turn on a computer, is now blogging. Wait. Is it just me, or does it seem like every mom now a days has a blog, and well – you are almost right. Well kind of.
So you wanna know HOW MANY MOMS ARE BLOGGING?
Check out these crazy stats from eMarketer:
Yep, you read that right. In 2010 there are 3.9 MILLION mom who are blogging. These are moms with kids under the age of 18 who write any subject, and at least monthly.
How many moms are online in the US?
32 MILLION
So if you do the math (which I suck at so you may have to pull out a calculator and figure out if this is accurate or not)
12% of mommys blog who are online. AND that would be why so many moms you know are blogging. And hopefully it’s not your sister blogging about you.

Wow, this is really interesting… I knew mom blogging was big, but not this big. The real interesting thing will be to see how many of this blogs last at least a year. Most people give up on blogging within the first 3 months…

Makes me wonder what the world wide total is as I believe it’s HUGE. For example I’m in the US but I get tons of traffic & twitter followers from Canada and Australia and they are ALSO Mommy bloggers. So on the one hand 3.2M is an amazing number. But I’m guessing that worldwide it’s easily double that. Of course I have no data, just entirely making that up
