To kick off the official 2023 tax day memes, first you must know the date. That’s right, Tuesday, April 18th is tax day 2023.
While many of us have the we ain’t got time for that mindset, it’s required.

Roughly 10% of those filing taxes will file for a tax extension. If you need more time to file, you can request an extension. To file an extension this, you must file Form 4868, Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, by the due date. You can file Form 4868 online, by mail, or by fax.
If you file Form 4868, you will have until October 16, 2023, to file your tax return. However, an extension to file is not an extension to pay. If you owe taxes, you must pay them by April 18, 2023, to avoid penalties and interest.
