5 Tips for Buying Clothes For Kids

Winter clothes are just about too hot for us here in Texas, it’s time to wheel the crate of Summer clothes and figure out what we need to buy the kids. We have 4 kids ages 3 to 11.

They are growing at rapid speeds so I know when we go thru last year’s goods we are going to need to buy new clothes. We are thankful to be working with PS from Aéropostale again – this time we are bringing you tips for buying new clothes for kids!

1. Elastic Waistbands Are AWESOME.

With our boys, elastic waistbands are a must. Our toddlers are 16 months apart and a size or 2 apart. With the elastic bands, each can wear who ever’s shorts!

2. Quality Doesn’t Have To Cost a Fortune

PS From Aero is definitely quality without costing you a fortune! See this shirt – see this boy? This WAS a brand new shirt before dinner – I know MOM fail. I have washed it, yes it was covered in meatball and who knows what (it was his birthday, so the day was a buffet to him!). The quality is still awesome.

Also, I know when we do roll out those crates of summer clothes – our PS from Aero clothes will still be in great shape. With boys, they wear their clothes HARD. I appreciate that I can know that PS from Aero clothing will last more than 1 season – because in this house, we specialize in hand-me-downs!

3. Buy Staples

For us with our boys, we chose several v-neck solid color shirts from PS from Aéropostale. The gray is a really cool color that can go with just about anything, I also chose white shirts.

And yes, I make my younger boys match way too often. They are growing too quickly and I know I only have about another year before all hell will break loose when they realize what I am doing!

4. Let Your Kids Choose A Few Pieces of Clothing

I let my Izaiah choose a few shirts when we were online shopping for him. He adores this hoodie and it’s perfect for our weather right now. Here in Texas, it’s warm enough for shorts but yet slightly chilly. In our house, hoodies are like shoes – you can never have enough!

 5. Don’t Be Afraid To Buy Online

I know some people refuse to purchase clothes online. We have had great success with our online purchases, but occasionally something doesn’t fit or look right – so wherever you shop online at – just check their return policy.

Parents must be choosy while they are about to purchase kids wear for summer season. Choose that kind of clothes which make them feel comfortable as well protect from sun light.

Great tips here ? especially the one about letting your kids pick out some pieces. A kid who feels comfortable and is happy with what they wear will be a happy kid generally.

My sister was telling me that she needs more dressed for her daughter, and I wanted to make sure that I knew how to choose them. It makes sense that you should be afraid to buy them online. It would be nice to send her the link before buying to make sure she likes them.
