Sunday – Day of Rest
Since Sundays technically don’t count towards the 40 days of Lent – and well, I typically do try to at least not work during the day – there was no Lent blog post yesterday.

We have friends that we have been trying to get to move to our little town. It might just happen! At least, sometime in the future – as they spent the afternoon house hunting in our area. We went to lunch and the kids played. Good conversation over chips and salsa is always good for the soul.
Let’s Talk Healing Bible Verses
So healing scriptures, yeah. Healing is a hard thing to process but necessary. I know so many people – including myself that want God to just heal themselves or someone in their lives.
“Why did God do this?” or “Why isn’t God healing her?” This subject is a difficult one and I wish I had the right answer to give you. I’ve included links below to other blog posts discussing the topic below the healing scriptures.
A Year to Heal
Last year, my husband was going thru a crazy experience, having his colon removed. There were so many unknowns, challenges, changes and hospital stays. OMG – the awful hospital stays were the worse. During that time – prayer was how I survived. And knowing now how many people were praying for him – I am convinced that’s how he survived.
My husband is still healing. It’s been a year since his first surgery and 8 months since his last surgery. The doctors all says that it takes a year for him to heal to a level of normalcy. So we continue to pray, we need him as normal as possible. (Even though he really was never normal. :))

Whatever your story is, maybe it’s you who needs healing or someone you love. Here are 10 healing scriptures to use when meditating or praying. I’ve included both the NIV and MSG versions of these bibles verses about healing.
I always like reading different translations as sometimes one translation can sometimes spark a whole new understanding of a bible verse.
Isaiah 41:10

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
The MSG
There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth: A right time for birth and another for death, A right time to plant and another to reap,
A right time to kill and another to heal. A right time to destroy and another to construct. A right time to cry and another to laugh. A right time to lament and another to cheer.
A right time to make love and another to abstain. A right time to embrace and another to part. A right time to search and another to count your losses. A right time to hold on and another to let go.
A right time to rip out and another to mend. A right time to shut up and another to speak up. A right time to love and another to hate. A right time to wage war and another to make peace.
NIV
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them.
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Exodus 15:26
The MSG
That’s the place where God set up rules and procedures; that’s where he started testing them. NIV
