Attention to detail is given to the in-game experience. Fortnite makes festive changes around the island, including doing things like giving party favors for logging in and decorating the battle bus!

It’s 2021, when’s the 2021 Fortnite Birthday Event and what do we know about it? Let’s spill the tea on what we know about how Epic Games plans on celebrating Fortnite’s 4th Birthday.
4th Birthday
Fortnite’s 4th birthday is on July 24, 2021 – but remember, chances are the game event won’t be until late September 2021.
In 2020, the Battle Royale birthday was celebrated rather than the game’s birthday. So if I were a planner, I would plan on September 2021 is the best bet for Fortnite’s 4th Birthday Bash.
When is the Fortnite Birthday Celebration?
Update 9/15/2021 – the latest Fortnite birthday bash rumor has the 4th birthday event happening on or around September 26th.
Epic has a lot going on with the legal battle with Apple, and no official news has yet to be released about the epic Fortnite Birthday Bash on their blog or social channels.
What’s Can We Expect at the 2021 Fortnite Birthday Bash?
There is a lot of unknown, on purpose surrounding the 2021 Fortnite Birthday Bash – thanks Epic! That doesn’t stop theories from developing. Here’s what we got so far in regards to the 2021 Birthday Bash:

Cake

We also know that in 2020, there was no birthday llama but were told that the birthday llama would be back for the 2021 birthday event.
Fortnite Turns 3 Years Old – 2020
Fortnite turns 3 years old in July of 2020. This year, the celebration was a bit different. Epic celebrated Fortnite’s third birthday of Battle Royale, rather than the traditional July celebration. To celebrate you would need to play Fortnite between September 26 and October 1, 2020.

In 2020, Epic gave away the Take the Cake Emote as a party favor to celebrate.
Where are the Birthday Cakes in Fortnite?
So where are all the birthday cakes in Fortnite locations. There are 10 Fortnite birthday cakes to find through this Fortnite game map.
Here is a quick rundown of where you can find birthday cakes in Fortnite.
- Lazy Lake – in the middle of Lazy Lake, with a car or build yourself a ramp and activate your glider in teh Team Rumble game mode to access this Fortnite cake.
- Retail Row – toward the right of Retail Row, out in the open is a the cake on a blue table.
- Slurpy Swamp – inside the large parking lot in the city, sits the cake waiting for you to dance.
- Doom’s Domain (aka Pleasant Park) – on a sidewalk next to Doom’s statue, get ready for some cake!
- Dirty Docks – Get to the upper part of the landmark first. In a small alleyway sits the birthday cake. You can notice it from above if you approach the destination with your glider.
- Sweaty Sands – not far from Salty Springs, the cake is just outside of their pier’s entrances.
- Salty Springs – close to Doom’s Domain, you will find Salty Springs. The cake is toward the right of the town. You should be able to immediately see the cake.
- Holly Hedges – in the upper part of Holly Hedges inside a small parking lot sits this Fortnite birthday cake.
- Weeping Woods
- Misty Meadows – cross the bridge to the right side of the landmark. The cake will be next to the water fountain.
Sorry folks, no Birthday Llama in 2020.
Birthday Bash – 2019
The 2019 Fortnite Birthday Bash ran from July 25 – July 31, 2019. Present supply drops, birthday cakes and a gift – plus 2nd birthday participants were able to earn the opportunity for a pickaxe, wrap and more cosmetics during the birthday celebration.

Fortnite’s 1st Birthday – 2018
On July 24, 2018 – Fortnite’s first birthday was celebrated for the first time with a limited time in-game event.
Here are the first birthday challenges in 2018:
- Deal 1,000 damage to opponents to unlock the Fortnite Birthday!Emoticon
- Dance at different birthday cakes to unlock the Happy Birthday!Spray
- Play 14 matches to unlock 5,000XP.
- Complete all 3 challenges to earn the Birthday CakeBack Bling
