No Doubt

The husband and I went to the No Doubt show this past weekend. AMAZING. The performance was off the hook -- Gwen sang 1 hit song after another. The set -- FABULOUS. The crowd -- drunk and diverse. If the tour hits your area -- GO! We scored $10 lawn seats (but of course lovely TicketMaster charged another nasty fee to drive up the ticket price). Check out their remaining dates here. Researching, I had no idea the band actually started in 1986. Wow. I was 8 and in 3rd grade.  And for even more WOW news -- Gwen Stefani turns 40 this year. I can only wish to look that good -- at 30. No Doubt’s Career (from nodoubt.com) The Very Beginning Anaheim, California. Little Gwen, whose tastes run along the lines of The … Read entire article »

I AM A Geek and Google Wave Makes Me Smile.

Step 1: ”We admitted we were powerless over geekiness -- that our lives had become unmanageable” Okay. OKAY. I admit. I am a geek. All things geeky have a grip on my life and my life becomes unmanageable due geeky technology things. Now that I admit, we can move on. I’ll deal with Step 2 at some other time.  Google Wave. OMG the future is here. I sat for 80 minutes and watched this video in awe. I can’t … Read entire article »

Kids. Can’t Shut Them Up!

Kids. Can’t Shut Them Up!

I visited Z’s class for her birthday last month. I came across this picture and was quickly taken back to the day. As I was passing cupcakes out, a little girl looked at me and said: “Do you work?” “Yes, I work.” “OH. My Mommy doesn’t have to work. She sleeps and shops all day.” I don’t even want to think about what Z is saying about me. … Read entire article »

Ziosk in Chili’s Kept My Kids Quiet. Can I Get an AMEN?

Ziosk in Chili’s Kept My Kids Quiet. Can I Get an AMEN?

Tonight, the fam headed to Chili’s. My husband and I were ready to hear the kids fight. We go out to eat a lot and they are always bickering or picking on one another. Tonight -- it’s as if we had a magic wand, and all was good in the world. What was different?  At our table at Chilli’s there was a little bit of magic sitting on the table.  The magic goes by the name … Read entire article »
