Week Rewind

Whoops. I started this post saying May is almost over. I checked the date and I guess June has already made it’s arrival. It’s times like these that I shake my head and acknowledge the fact that time does in fact fly.

week rewind

We are busy preparing for the end of the school year and a road trip!  We are super excited for summer to get here and by the looks of my son’s behavior chart from school – he is too.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day we spent at my sister’s swimming, BBQing and getting sun burnt. This white skin cannot handle the sun.

Memorial Day fun

Monday evening, we met up with Sean’s grandma – the kids great grandma for dinner. She moved about 20 miles from us a while back and have neglected that she lives so close… something we won’t neglect again.  We so enjoyed talking and learning her history.  She is 91 years old and amazes me. She lives on her own and survived raising 3 boys and a girl. I know she was just laughing inside as we wrangled the kids at the restaurant.

2013 Ford Fusion Energi

Wednesday, I was invited to the Power of Choice event with Ford.  Ford showcased their line-up of electric and hybrid cars.  My favorite is the Ford Fusion Energi. It’s purty and can get over 100 MPG.

Work

The bad part about working for yourself is that whole if you want to go on vacation you must work ahead thing… And the other bad thing is that your I.T. department is your husband. Thankfully he knows how to code, except he complains constantly when put on a Macbook and asked to figure out a PHP issues.

Charter School

Z and E were accepted into a charter school next year, and by accepted I mean we were chosen by the lottery. Woohoo!  We’re still unsure about all the new ahead, but we are excited.  The charter school held a summer kickoff party to let the kids meet their teachers. The kids got their faces painted, participated in their first cake walk and enjoyed snow cones from the Kona ice truck. Can’t wait to see where the new school year leads us.

Jumping in Puddles

The toddlers are up to their usual shenanigans, coloring on walls and screaming – lots of screaming. The weather has been a bit dreary, but that doesn’t stop Izaiah. Jumping in puddles  – why not? Rainy day fun with the toddler.

Hoping your week was spectacular.
