Somehow my late night obsession is blogging and watching TV. I’ve spent the last year or so avoiding spending large quantities of time in front of the telly. Whoops, back to loving the time suckage and stress relieving non-hobby of tv watching.
One of my favorite new tv finds is World of Jenks. Reality TV was something I got into when it first came out with Real World, but quickly became LAMEO and purposeless and often a freak show. So when switching on this show, I have quickly fallen in love with this documentary style reality show. It’s not the scripted poo you think of when you typically think reality tv. This show dives into real lives with a 3rd party perspective.
World of Jenks
World of Jenks is an exciting new documentary series that showcases the lives of inspirational young people from all corners of the United States. Every week, documentary filmmaker, Andrew Jenks will literally move in with a different stranger to experience a week in their life. Whether on the sidelines with an NFL Cheerleader, sleeping on the street with a homeless youth, or in the ring with a Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, Jenks brings the audience into the true reality of each subject.
Andrew Jenks is a personable guy with a friendly personality that seems to allow people to open up to him. The show chronicles a series of different scenarios in which drowns himself in the world of other peoples’ lives while it’s all being documented.
Jenks Meet Laura. Laura Meet Jenks. Virtual Hook-Up
I like this dude. He has a unique style, a career and just seems friendly. I don’t know very many single guys, so all the single ladies in my life – I always have to say sorry. IF I knew this dude, I would totally attempt a setup with my darling little lamb Laura.
Laura is cute, fun, a ball of adventure and I mean look – they would be SUCH a cute couple. She’s one of my favorite people – and Andrew Jenks is one of my favorite people on tv so I mean that totally means they would work out and get married and have cute babies and stuff (hahahahahaha because life is just THAT easy hahahahahaha), ANYWHOO… so much for that virtual hook up. 🙂
Don’t have MTV? No worries. MTV gets it when it comes to technology and has all of World of Jenks episodes streamed online. Make sure to see the episode where Jenks visits a school for Autism. So genuine and sincere and real and and and this is reality tv that I like.
