BEST New Year’s Resolutions Apps
You know what they say… there’s an app for that. If your New Year’s resolutions are in the top 10, I’m sharing some of my favorite apps that can help you keep your goals.
1. Lose Weight
LOSE It is a great app for keeping track of your calories. The food database is fabulous and this app will show you how many calories you need to it and gives a timeline for achieving your weight loss goals.
2. GET ORGANIZED
My favorite organization app is Evernote. I like to think of it as my digital filing cabinet. I snap photos of important papers (dog vaccines!) and use it for keeping track of all of my notes. The app is free (though I’ve upgraded since I use it so much.) All of your information is stored in the cloud so you can access anything in evernote on any device.
Wunderlist – To Do and Tasks
We use this at work to organize tasks and to-dos. Wunderlist is a great way to keep track of lists, and offers easy collaboration. (Side note: Microsoft bought Wunderlist – fortunately they haven’t changed it much since purchasing.)
3. SPEND LESS, SAVE MORE
Looking to spend less?
Hooks to your back account shows you where you are spending your money, investments, status of your credit cards and more.
Want to save more?
In the last few months, ive save over $500. How Acorns works – it rounds up your purchases and deposits the money into a separate account which then is invested. This is effortless micro-investing. This isn’t meant to be your only way to save, but it offers a great solution for saving for Christmas, vacation or what have you.
BONUS – use my partner link and you and I both get $10 deposited into your Acorn account once you sign-up!
4. ENJOYING LIFE TO THE FULLEST
What’s the best way to live life to the fullest? Without distractions, of course.
Freedom – one of the top 10 productivity apps it will help you live life to the fullest by BLOCKING social media and distracting websites – $29 a year for the service and its good on all of your devices or $6.99 a month.

5. STAYING FIT AND HEALTHY
Stay fit and healthy…
7 Minute Workout
In just 7 minutes a day, with high-intensity exercise you can get in a workout to help you stay fit and healthy. It’s like having a personal trainer on your phone (minus the verbal abuse.)
Check out various 7-minute workout apps for iOS
6. LEARN SOMETHING NEW
Want to learn something new?
I love me some YouTube. I am a visual, I have to see something happen to learn and with YouTube, the world is at your fingertips!
7. QUIT SMOKING
Quit smoking with this app!
Butt Out – Quit Smoking Forever – $3.99
This app is $3.99 BUT it’s cheaper than a pack of cigarettes. Track your cravings, how many cigarettes you are smoking (if you are trying to ween), how long it’s been since a smoke.
8. HELP OTHERS IN THEIR DREAMS
Help others make their dreams come true.
Discover innovative projects made by passionate people and help fund their dreams and get cool stuff funding cool concepts with Kickstarter.

9. FALL IN LOVE
I really wanna love somebody.
Thankfully i’ve been off of the market for a while but the single friends are still loving tinder. Originally for hooking up has now become the must-have dating app.
10. SPEND MORE TIME WITH FAMILY
Connect with your family, but first you have to get their attention.
With Circle, you will need the Circle device but this appliance paired with the app is golden. The Circle device hooks to your router and then the Circle app, allowing you to setup each device and assign them to an individual in your family. With a click of a button, you will be able to PAUSE the internet!
This is the greatest thing for allowing our family to spend more time together. We recently started limited screen time on Sunday with No Screens Sunday. I pause the internet and we do something as a family. We’ve been slacking with the holiday but watch out kids, we’re back at it this week!
There you have it. Apps to help you keep your New Year’s resolutions!
