Experiencing Grapevine Wine Tours

I was provided with a complimentary wine tour in order to tell you all about it. All opinions are my own.

I love me a good glass of wine. I prefer it sweet and red, but I’m learning to appreciate all varieties of wine. Last week, Grapevine Wine Tours invited me (and a slew of my blogger friends) out to experience what their wine tour was all about. A wine tour in Texas? YES! Did you know that Texas is the #4 state for producing wine? Color me impressed!

grapevine wine tour bus

Our wine tour started at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, TX. A small passenger bus awaited us. We hopped on board and experienced things I never knew existed so close to my home. Our bus driver was an experienced tour guide, informing us of useful and interesting information about downtown Grapevine.

Homestead Winery

Our first stop was at Homestead Winery. The winery is in darling victorian house off of historic Main Street in downtown Grapevine. We were given numerous wines to sample, as well as an overview of what each wine was. Their wines are created at their vineyard in Ivanhoe, TX.

Bargain tip: In the back of their winery, they sell wines from all over the world for super cheap. You can buy a case of wine for $100!

Delaney Vineyards

Next on our wine tour, was Delaney Vineyards. The location is absolutely beautiful. There is an on-site vineyard (they have a much larger vineyard in Lamesa, TX) and building where you can tour to see how they make wine, a room for tastings and a darling shop for purchasing wines and good. We received lotion made from grape seed – it was amazing.

We sat in round tables, enjoying several different wines.

If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Grapevine area, the facilities at Delaney Vineyards is gorgeous and perfectly made for such an event.

Winewood Grill

Our final stop on the Grapevine Wine Tours, was the Winewood Grill. Here we sampled 3 more wines and dined on amazing cuisine, dining in one of their private dining rooms. I have recently stopped eating meat – no worries here. Their vegan meal was amazing.

Overall, the experience was amazing. The tour was a total of 4 hours and we laughed and enjoyed every minute of it. Grab a group of girlfriends or make it a date night and book your trip with Grapevine Wine Tours.

I tried to keep track of how much wine I tried – it was well over 10 different kinds! I am a total light-weight so have to watch my in-take carefully.

Thanks Grapevine Wine Tours for having us out!
