Thanksgiving is right around the corner and with that comes the hustle-bustle of visiting family.
I don’t know what your week before Thanksgiving looks like, but our’s does not stop. The kids have school and my husband has work until Thanksgiving. In order to get a Thanksgiving meal done, it requires prep work during the evenings or early on Thursday which means, the day is OFFICIAL swamped. The last thing I want to do on our day off is to worry about cooking. I just want to enjoy a good meal with my family. Here is how you can do it….
NO STRESS Thanksgiving Dinner
Busy moms – I have a solution for you. This is how to make a NO STRESS Thanksgiving dinner that is delicious and easy-peasy.
Head to your local HoneyBaked Ham store. My favorite location is in North Dallas/Plano.
Walk in and start shopping.
Inquire About Specials
There are various specials, so make sure to check out the signs to find the best deal. (See below for a coupon!)
Pick-up Your Sides
There are freezers FULL of delicious sides. Pick up a few sides (1 side feeds 4-5 people). Don’t forget the turkey gravy.
Choose Your Ham & Turkey
Go to the counter and ask for a HoneyBaked Ham and Turkey Breast. You will be shown the ham and the team can help you determine the best size to feed your family. We ordered a 5 lb ham, which feeds 8-10 people. Yes, there are 6 of us – but OMG the leftover sandwiches will keep you from having to cook for at least a week. And the turkey, delicious! Make sure to pick up sauce! I love their Honey Mustard!
THAT IS IT!
So now you have your food. Remember, typically you would spend at LEAST an hour getting all of the groceries to make food. With HoneyBaked Ham – it really is one-stop shopping. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes.
Your entire Thanksgiving meal will take maybe an hour to heat up. And when I say delicious, this meal tastes homemade.
HoneyBaked Ham and Turkey
If you’ve never had a HoneyBaked Ham, well I can’t even. Just go buy one, and a turkey. I am not a big turkey fan in general – but with the honey-glaze, you can’t go wrong.
We don’t even bother to heat up either meat. I know, sue me – but it’s just as good cold as it is hot. And as I mentioned before, make sure you buy a bigger size because leftovers. Believe me, you’ll thank me later.
The cost is equivalent to what you would end up paying for all the groceries. If anything you can use HoneyBaked ham for either your meats – or if you are required to bring a side to dinner, just pick up one of their yummy sides. We have yet to have something here that no one likes. That’s right, all 6 people in the family like everything. CRAZY.
