Last week, Dave and Busters invited Dallas Socials and my family to enjoy a day at their new location in Dallas, TX checking out the food and their Summer of Games promotion.
It ended up being 100 degrees that day. Finding indoor summer activities at home with 4 kids of varying ages is always a challenge, but at D&B fun was had by all.
We started our day at lunch, trying their new summer menu. I’m going to be totally honest – I was never a fan of Dave and Buster’s food. Keyword: WAS. Between the 7 of us that were dining, we had a massive spread of yummies. The kids started off with mozzarella sticks, and the adults had the loaded queso.
We went family style so we could try various foods when it came to the main course. Our table tried the bacon-wrapped beef medallions and build-your-own-tacos from the new summer menu. Other dishes included the ribs, the mac and cheese, and buffalo chicken sliders.
Can you say amazing? We had gone in thinking oh, look at the desserts – but couldn’t even think about them after lunch.
Our waitress was AMAZING. In addition to the great service, the restaurant was super clean and priced affordably.
The kids were excited for lunch to finish, to get on to game time. I seriously think that Dave and Busters needs a side door where the kids can’t see the games so at least we could get thru lunch without hearing “Can we go play now???”. The kids had a blast playing all the games. They even won 2 stuffed animals from the Crane. I am 34 years old and I don’t think I’ve ever won anything from that game!
My favorite part of our adventure had to be the games that we know from apps turned life size! That’s right, you can play Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, Cut the Rope on huge touch screens. Another game that I spotted that was a board game but now is a real life game… Operation!
Along with the new, Dave and Busters still has the classics. From basketball to skeeball, the games are there and we played them!
