Did you heard, we bought an old house and are in the process of renovating it? This will be a lifelong project (I am so not kidding when I say that) but there are?a handful of things I plan to do in the coming year and one of them is to make a SHE SHED!
What is a SHE SHED? Well, a shed for she – and that she is ME. ?When we found this property, it has 3 additional buildings on the land besides the house: a?stable, a barn and a shed/pool house/looks like a fancy kids playhouse. We have long-term plans for each building, but first up – this mom needs a little get away and the shed is perfect fro that. Lucky for us, the shed has electricity already running to it, windows and full size door. It’s not big – but big enough for me to make a little get away.
Have you thought about making a She Shed? My friends over at Best Buy have fab information on making a she shed, make sure to check out:?6 She Shed Ideas Using Tech.
My favorite tip from Best Buy is the extend the wi-fi for endless entertainment. Because a she shed without wi-fi would be well, useless to me!
With the wi-fi extended, i’ll be able to turn my she shed into my own little office away from the noise of the kids. Get a good Netgear router and extending the wi-fi as long as your she shed isn’t too far out shouldn’t be a problem.
I plan on hooking up the Sonos, finding a comfy chair, dolling the walls with fun colors and making the shed a place of my own. Stay tuned, i’ll make sure to document it!
