Apple Launches iPad Mini – New Macbook Pro and New iMac

Apple fans around the world are doing a happy dance. Today, Apple launched 3 major new products that Apple fanboys and fangirls are drooling over.

New Apple iPad Mini

I guess those rumors of a iPad mini were true! Today’s annoucement of the iPad mini sure has people talking. At a price point of just $329, way below the iPad price of $499 and touted as every inch an iPad – we may just have a whole new crop of iPad owners.

Here are the iPad Mini Specs:

• iPad Mini display is 7.5 inches
• Front facing and back facing cameras
• Record in HD in full 1080 dpi 
• Back camera shoots 5 megapixel still images
• Access over 275,000 apps in the Apple store (meaning, if you can play it on the iPad you can play it on the Apple iPad mini!)
• Siri enabled
• Airplay
• Ultrafast wireless
• iPad Mini uses the new Apple lightening adapter
• iPad Mini uses dual-core A5 chip – same as Apple iPad 2
• 10 hour battery life

New Apple Macbook Pro with Retina Display

So we first saw the retina display on the iPhone, then iPad and now the Macbook Pro. While there are some other updates, for the most part, it looks like retina display is the major update.

It appears that Apple has retired the 17-inch Macbook Pro.
