The last few weeks of 2014 were crazy. We hosted several rounds of Christmas, followed by a New Year’s Eve party. The kids were off of school and the house just felt like chaos — happy chaos, but chaos none the less.

Despite all of the crazy, one happy was having a 2015 Mazda 3 to drive around town.  I had the Mazda 3 for a little over a week and this car, while little it’s a great vehicle that I was excited to review.

2015 Mazda 3 Review

2015 Mazda 3 Review

The 2015 Mazda 3 is a compact car. Yes, I have 4 kids – and while it was a tight fit – I was able to bring all 4 kids with me around town as we tried to get things done before Christmas.

The first thing you will notice about the Mazda 3 is it’s sexy look. The car I had, was bright cherry red. It screamed “FUN!” From the sunroof to the neat radio, the Mazda 3 has a ton to offer.  Check out this quick tour of the Mazda 3:

Here are 5 features on it that I LOVED.

1. Great Gas Mileage

I drove this car everywhere and still didn’t empty the tank! With up to 40mpg, gas isn’t going to be something you have to constantly worry about with the Mazda According to the EPA, the base 2015 Mazda3 gets up to 29/41 mpg city/highway, which is excellent for the class.

2. Body

The design is very sporty! Who doesn’t love that??

3. Nice Interior

The interior of the car was sleek. While the seats weren’t leather, they provided a comfortable ride.

4. Technology

A major perk of the 2015 Mazda 3, is the technology. The edition that I was driving included bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a 7-inch touchscreen display with a knob-based controller interface, and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, HD radio, smartphone-enabled Internet radio and a USB/iPod audio interface. Using the knob over touch-screen took a few to get use to – but worked well.  The rear view camera provided excellent coverage.

5. Blind Spot Detector

One thing that takes adjusting when driving a new car is knowing where the blind spots are.  The Mazda 3 has taken care of that by featuring a blind spot detector on your side mirrors.  Whenever someone is in your blind spot, the detector on the mirror will light-up alerting you of a vehicle you may not see. Love this.
