Back to School Clothes Shopping with PS From Aero

Back to School Clothes Shopping with PS From Aero

Back to school shopping for our kids this year has been mostly at the uniform store. Don’t even get me started on what a disaster this was! From outrageous prices to terrible customer service, it was a nightmare. The charter school that the older kids attend require their uniforms be purchased from a select retailer.  All that said, their school clothes shopping is complete and next on the list is everyday wear.

Our friends from PS from Aerostale surprised the kids with a back to school outfit to start off the school year with. How cute are these back to school outfits!

I am obsessed with these pants! You can’t see in the photo, but the blazer is bejeweled with a little bling bling.

Thanks PS from Aero.  Make sure to check out their clearance section and stock up on some great summer finds at major discounts!

What Makes U Smile T-Shirt Design Contest

If you are in the market for uniforms (and your school let’s you choose where to purchase these – don’t get me started!) – check out PS from Aero Uniform Shop

The 4th annual P.S. from Aéropostale “What Makes U Smile” T-Shirt Design Contest gives kids the opportunity to showcase their creativity! All they have to do is submit their design through their elementary school. It’s that simple.

Designed specifically for 1st – 5th graders, the school’s “What Makes U Smile” contest kit includes a paper template for each child to create their own P.S. from Aéropostale t-shirt. Five Grand Prize winners, one from each grade, will receive a $500 gift card to P.S. from Aéropostale and a $5,000 donation to their school! Since 2009,  P.S. from Aéropostale has donated over $68,000 to schools and students nationwide.

From August 22nd, 2013 – October 19th, 2013 kids and parents can go to www.pswhatmakesyousmile.com to sign their school up.

back to school 2012

This week our kids started back to school.

Back to School 2012

We now officially have a 2nd grader and 4th grader. After their first home not stuck in day care for the entire Summer, I would call their Summer vacation a success.  While we didn’t go on any major trips this year, we made the best of a few road trips and several outings. Next year when we aren’t trying to sell a house – will most definitely be better! (more…)

Back to School – ALREADY? EEK! I guess so. My nephsons in Nashville start back to school August 1. Thankfully our kids don’t start until the end of August, so we have a wee bit more time to sleep in and enjoy the lazy days of summer.

Even though we have a month left until school start, I guess I should be getting back into the swing of things, you know like showering our kids regularly and making sure they have school clothes.

My friends at Plum District recently did a survey on moms and back to school. Here is what they found:

What Happened Last Week

What Happened Last Week

parenting kids

Last week was crazy to say the least.

It was back to school time for our 2 older kids, Z and E.

Izaiah has come to the understanding that Zeke is a real person, not a baby doll as he appears.

And our attempts to get Zeke on any type of schedule have failed.  That’s alright, he’s really cute. View a recap of Zeke’s third week.

Life not working is weird and strangely stress-free. I’ve spent the last 3 weeks recovering, spending time with the family, and blogging. It’s a huge shift from the 50+ hour work weeks. I miss the day to day somedays, but for now am just enjoying maternity leave, wearing yoga pants everyday and brushing my hair only when leaving the house.

Here are a few blog posts from this week over at Babble:

Did your kids start back to school yet?

back to school

This last week was Z and E’s first week back. A first and third grader – that means I’m getting old.

School this year is starting 10 minutes early. This ticks me off. My tax payer money didn’t get to vote on that. And this mom is NOT a morning person.

On a positive note, the kids have Apple Macbooks in their classrooms. So guess my taxes are paying for something.

Z thrives on routine. This up early to get going thing is SO her style.

E is like every other member of this family. He hates mornings. But so far so good, which means we have yet to be tardy.

From Summer to school starting. It seems like just yesterday E was starting Kindergarten.

Just hoping my Izaiah and Zeke don’t grow up as quick as the older Z and E. sigh.
