Hey Moms, look at your skin. Think about where you live. Is it a good place or bad place for your skin?
It’s summer, are you a tanner? Does your skin actually darken?
Not me.
I’m going to tell you right now, I’m stark white. I’m so white that pale is the color my skin turns when I tan. I’m like Edward Cullen from Twilight white (like you didn’t know who Edward Cullen was). Needless to say – me and the sun just don’t like each other.
When I was a teenager, my mom took me to a tanning salon. I always hated it. The place smelled of coconut and sweat. It didn’t tan me, even going for 5 minutes I would freckle up and turn red. Fortunately we stopped going. Unfortunately, we later found out the tanning salon closed it was because the tanning salon had hidden cameras in the tanning rooms. Lovely. Just LOVELY.
Anywho – back to skin talk.
There are cities that are better for your skin than others. Daily Glow set out to find where is the best for your skin. They took into account incidents of skin cancer death, air pollution, the amount of Dermatologies in the area, popularity of tanning beds and lifestyle choices such as smoking and exercise.
Find out where your city ranks on this infographic.
Look at you Portlandia. Your hipster lifestyle works well with skin health. I bet under those beards, your skin shines. (kidding, kind of)
Dallas, TX - you rank #36. With the amount of leather that walks around here, you’d think we’d be worse.
Austin, TX you rank #10. I am going to use this as just another sign we need to move there. Just sayin’.
