Pinterest and Facebook Timelines are now BFFs.  The 2 mega social media forces have teamed up to super power your Facebook Timeline with a Facebook Pinterest app enabling the world to see what you pin.

If you thought your timeline was crowded before, think again.

Adding Pinterest to Facebook Timeline

If you are wanting to add Pinterest to your Facebook timeline, you will need to make sure that you actually have Facebook timeline installed on your Facebook profile.  (If you need to install it, read how to here.)

There are 2 ways to install the Pinterest App from Pinterest and from Facebook. I’ll show you how to do both below. View the infographics and then read the text if you need more instructions.

How to install Pinterest to Facebook from Pinterest

Installing Pinterest App to Facebook Timeline

The easiest way to install the Pinterest app to your Facebook timeline is to go through Pinterest.com (not Facebook, it’s way too wonky!). If you need to delete Pinterest from Facebook – keep reading.

To add the Pinterest app from your Facebook timeline, here are the steps

• Login to Pinterest.com
• Click on your profile photo in the upper right hand corner of Pinterest nav bar
• Drop down to setting
• Scroll down on the Pinterest settings page to Facebook
• Switch Visibility to ON under Facebook (9th option down from the top) – so ON – Add Pinterest to Facebook Timeline
• You will need to login to Facebook (if not already)
• Once logged into Facebook you will be sent back to the Pinterest settings page
• Click save profile button at the bottom of your Pinterest profile page

Removing Pinterest from Facebook Timeline

To remove the Pinterest app from your Facebook timeline, here are the steps – again from Pinterest.com:

• Login to Pintrest.com
• Click on your profile photo in the upper right hand corner of Pinterest nav bar
• Drop down to setting
• Scroll down on the Pinterest settings page to Facebook
• Switch Visibility to OFF under Facebook (9th option down from the top) – so OFF – Add Pinterest to Facebook Timeline
• Click save profile button at the bottom of your Pinterest settings page

(There maybe a banner on the top of your Pinterest boards directing you to install, this will accomplish the same as the above preventing you from having to go to the settings page.)

Deleting Pinterest App from Facebook

• Login to Facebook
• Visit: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
• Find Pinterest and click edit
• Click Remove App (located in the upper right hand corner of the grey box)

I’m sorry but I am addicted to Pinterest – but I am not sure I am ready to confess this to the Facebook world with a million pins to my account. And by millions, I mean hundreds and sadly – that’s the reality of a Pinterest addiction.
