Bumbo say WHAT?

Yes, a Bumbo. The Bumbo is definately a mommy must have. We were introduced to this fun chair with our #2 kid E. He LOVED it. And what loved it even more than him? US!

We are on kid #3. The Bumbo was one of the few baby items we had not given away between our last 2 kids. With our 3rd, Izaiah – we have used the Bumbo daily since he was 6 weeks old. The recommended ages for Bumbo are 3 months – 14 months.

Look Mom! I Can See the World

While we love the bouncy chair – the Bumbo allows our little Izaiah to check out the world around him. He is sitting up and supported, without having to be able to sit up.

Light-weight & Portable

The Bumbo is light-weight and portable. We’ve been taking it along with us each time we go out to eat. Izaiah outgrew his infant carrier and isn’t sitting up yet, so what to do in a restaurant? Take the Bumbo!

My sister in law use to take the Bumbo with her to get her son’s hair cut when he was a toddler. It fit right in the hairstylist chair. (see safety tips below)

Easy to Clean

Nothing like yucky baby toys that are slobbered and spit-up all over and you can’t for the life of your figure out how to clean them. Fear not with Bumbo. We squish the Bumbo into our sink and squirt it down anytime it needs a cleaning.

High Chair Alternative

Yes, we suck. Our 5-month old who loves to eat still does not have a high chair. We haven’t bought one because the Bumbo has been working just dandy (see word to the wise about safety). Note: DO NOT USE on a table or chair. We feed him sitting on the ground. As soon as he starts finger food, we’ll have to sucker up for a high chair or booster chair.

Word to the Wise

There are some people who don’t like it because of the lack of straps or security. Here’s a word to the wise, DO NOT PUT THE BUMBO ON A RAISED SURFACE.
