For Christmas, my dad bought Z, my 7 year old and E, my 5 year old each the new 4th generation iPod Touches. Talk about addiction, fortunately that is one of the only downsides.
The iPod Touch 4th Generation is essentially a dumbed down iPhone 4. In addition to the obvious music player, and ability to run any of the Apple iPhone / iPod Touch apps:
Video chatting and kids – PRICELESS, well kind of – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to yell at the kids to stop bugging our family members by FaceTiming them.
Setting up FaceTime is quick and easy. You’ll need an email account and that’s it. You’ll be able to video chat via FaceTime with anyone who has FaceTime.
No iPhone 4 or iPod Touch, but have Mac? You can now download FaceTime for the Mac.
The iPod Touch retina display is amazing with a 960×640 resolution.
The iPod Touch allow HD video 720p recording. You can record, edit and share your videos via email, YouTube or various other social media channels.
The iPod Touch also has a front facing camera and a back camera. The back camera has a picture quality of 960 x 720 resolution. The front facing camera - my daughter loves this feature – she uses it as a mirror and take photos of herself with her Barbies.
If you are thinking about what fun tech gifts kids would love:
The iPod Touch basically includes all, in a small little package – for a reasonable price when considering all that’s included.
Fantastic work, please keep writing it was a joy to work through. I’m going to repost this now.
wow, so great! kids can play iPod Touch?
