Grandparents Learning the Webcam

How savvy are your Grandparents and the computer? After many hours of setup, my husband has successfully taught his 85-year old Grandpa and Grandma how to use Skype. While they still insist on keeping the phone on rather than using the computer mic only, it’s so nice to see them on a regular basis.

Grandma and Grandpa live in Oregon and we in Texas so the commute, especially with 4 kids isn’t something we’re able to do at this time. We have announced pregnancies, introduced two grandsons and much more all thanks to Skype. I’m so glad that our grandparents are open to using the internet. It’s so meaningful to see them and have our kids know them.
