Meet Prima Bella -Is this the new answer for morning sickness?
I’m sitting in the OBGYN’s office and having to take this glucose test, I feel aweful. Morning sickness ended at 18 weeks for me, but something in the office was making me sick. After telling the nurse, she said – "let’s try something…"
She proceeds to put a glob of something on my wrist, asks if I am allergic to latex and then straps a wrist like device to me called a Prima Bella. It’s pulsating and after 30 minutes I can say that I don’t feel sick anymore. Crazy.
I feel a small electrical charge on my wrist, in a rythmatic pattern, similar to a TENS unit – but that’s it.
PrimaBella™, the only FDA cleared prescription non-invasive medical device intended for treatment of nausea and vomiting due to pregnancy (NVP). PrimaBella is an innovative prescription neuromodulation device worn on the underside of the wrist to reduce nausea and vomiting symptoms during pregnancy.
While sick for the first 18 weeks, I lived on Zofran in order to maintain sanity. Should I venture into pregnancy again and meet up with my old friend “Morning Sickness”, I’ll definately give the Prima Bella a whirl.
