Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and while we will be DIYing the Valentine’s day cards for the kid’s classroom, the grandparents and family will be receiving personalized photo cards that will hang on their fridge. Hold on, let’s talk for a minute about photos and getting grandparents cards….
I am awful at getting the grandparents photos of the kids. Everything is stuck on my phone or in Lightroom. Last year, I found a trick that has helped me tremendously with my problem of forgetting things. It’s not that I don’t want to remember things, like birthdays or Valentine’s day. It’s just that the woahs of life with 4 kids kind of puts air in my brain leaving me to forget details as such. I would like to think I’m a thoughtful person, and this little trick has made me feel like I am actually on top of things.
There is no way that I am going to drag 4 kids into a card store and buy Valentine’s Day Cards. There is no way IF I actually bought greeting cards that I would actually remember to mail them. I am just being honest here. And this is why I SERIOUSLY LOVE Treat.com.
Treat gives you a plethora of card designs to choose from at either Treat.com or the Treat app. Yes, Treat has an app and it’s fabulous (this actually let’s me put use to my iPhone photos of the kids!). It’s super simple to make a card and Treat can mail it directly to your friend or family member. Or, if you want – they can mail it to you as well. (In addition to cards, they also offer adorable Photo Gifts too!)
BONUS: You can SCHEDULE greeting cards to be sent at a later date.
CONFESSION: We may have received calls from family members thanking us for cards and I MAY have just went along with it, when in actuality I totally forgot I sent them because I scheduled them so far in advance. But hey, if it appears I am on top of it – WOOHOO!
So lets go back to Valentine’s Day cards! Here are the cards I’m sending out to our family:
Zowie is all into drawing right now. Elijah loves dinosaurs. I always draw this Sean+ Molly whenever we are in the sand (last time I was without him, so I snapped a pic and sent him it!). And the grandparents – get a recent photo of the kids.
Do you KNOW how excited I am that my husband’s card is DONE (YAY! for no February 13th card shopping!).
