A little bit about this fitness wearable: Created in 2008, Fitbit is a fitness tracker or wearable that tracks movement using a three-dimensional accelerometer – similar to what the Wii remote uses to sense user movement. The fitness wearable tracks steps, and uses data to calculate distance walked, calories burned, floors climbed and activity duration and intensity. It also measures your sleep quality when you wear the device.
Currently there are eight different Fitbits on the market: Zip, One, Flex, Charge, Alta, Charge HR, Blaze and Surge. Each fitness tracker has different features and various price points. There is also a scale, Aria that will sync your weight with your app seamlessly – and allows 8 different people to use it!
