Each day I sit down and thumb (okay, SCROLL) thru my favorite blogs. I realized I am being selfish by not sharing.
Here are my fave 10 blog post finds from this past week in no particular order:
1. On Self Determination – Seth Godin
Seth is amazing. I love his thoughts on college and thinking outside of the box in life. Of course, I should warn – Seth Godin rarely does wrong in my book.
2. In Comparison of Others – Jennifer Deshler
The one and only Jen talks about being herself, titles not making people, being passionate, being happy and that there are no perfect people.
3. Commercialism and Faith Pt 1: The Affect of Commercials on the Human Brain – Donald Miller
Not only did Donald launch a fab new blog design – he started a great series on commercialism and faith.
4. What Do You Say? – The Spohrs are Multiplying
Wonderful Heather takes on the hard question of what do you say to a parent who has a child who has died. She is so strong and her answer is honest, truthful and real.
5. And We Start All Over Again – Amanda’s Blessed Life
My co-worker Amanda is ou volunteer coordinator. This weekend is our first event at Women of Faith in Des Moines, she heads backs out on the road coordinating our volunteer teams. (Shout out to my peeps and btw this is a disclosure that I work for Women of Faith).
6. On the Menu – Life Down Our Lane
Lacie posts a recipe I cannot wait to make – Seven Layer Tortilla Pie! Except – no offense Lacie, you’re in Ohio and us Texans like it SPICY – so i’ll be subbing the chopped tomatoes with Rotel
7. How I Became a Stereotype – The Redneck Mommy
Tanis keeps it real as she admits to morphing into her mother.
8. Kids, Travel and Love – The Run-a-muck
Amber writes on her soon adoption of a daughter from Ethiopia – and posts the song her husband wrote for her on Valentine’s day. Too sweet.
9. Too Many People Have Forgotten the Power of Thank You – Gary Vaynerchuck
Such a good point – thank you is easier now than ever to say. Brands need to take advantage of this outreach with thank you and your welcome.
10. Everybody is Irish
Some linky love to my sister as she launches thedallassocials.com. So proud of her! She started twittering Dallas social stuff over a year ago, has grown a good fan base and is now getting into the blogging world!
