36 Weeks Pregnant

36 Weeks Pregnant

Where do I begin. 36 weeks divided by 4 weeks per month = I’ve been pregnant for 9 months. Sorry to tell you folks – that 9 months pregnant you hear of is actually 40 weeks which is 10 MONTHS. Rip off, I know but what do you do

I am hurrily preparing for maternity leave. My team is a gem and has stuck by my side as I throw random bits of information there way. My biggest fear is not covering something, but trusting that all will be good so I can enjoy several weeks with me and my new little guy. This will be the first time in a while I’ve been able to not think about work. While I love my job with every ounce of my being, I think this pregnancy is God’s way of saying – SLOW down and enjoy life and family while you can. So i’m taking 10 weeks to do just that. Thanks God.

This week we’ll find out if our little man is still breeched. Hopefully all of the "Turn Baby Turn" singing has moved his little hiney upwards, but we’ll see soon as the doctor has scheduled our final ultrasound. My sister googled the external trying to unbreech a baby and now gives me funny looks when I talk about the baby being breeched. For her sake and mine – PLEASE BE HEAD DOWN DUDE!

In AWESOME news, wait – that is total sarcasm. Last night I ran my foot into our ottoman breaking my #4 toe. So in addition to being a waddler – I now hobble/waddle. It’s QUITE the sight to see and nothing like a PAIN in the toe. As long as my foot is elevated we are all good. On the positive side, I get to wear this amazing SHOE! More sarcasm people.

Other than that and crazy nesting (as much as I can do now that i’m immobile – it’s now turned to online shopping) – we’re just counting down the days. Praying the dude waits a few more weeks for appearance. I have to get more things in order!!

  1. Been looking for this type of information. Everything I’ve read anywhere else hasn’t covered it very well, but your post did. Thanks…

  2. I really loved reading your blog. It was well authored and easy to undertand. Unlike other blogs I have read. I also found it very interesting. In fact after reading, I had to go show the spouse and she ejoyed it also!

My 9 months or 36 weeks pregnancy was one of the best times of my life. I not only changed physically but also emotionally.

I cried when my baby gave his first kick. When that happen, all the back ache, the swelling, the hot flush just seems to disappear.

To all pregnant women out there….enjoy this moment.
