When are you due?
I now respond with the day count.
34 Days!
This is my first pregnancy I can honestly say I just want this kid to come when he is due. I have way too much to get done at work and prepping the family for little dude to make an early arrival. I do know by typing this, I might possibly be jinxing him into an early appearance.
The kids are just as anxious about this little guy arriving as Sean and I. Each night, E sings “Itsy Bitsy Spider” to my belly. He chose that song as the baby’s goodnight song. Z is still busy inviting anyone and everyone to rub my belly and feel the baby kick (even if the baby isn’t doing anything). My little niece McKenzie informed me today that the baby really should be a girl because she can’t take anymore boys around. Sorry McKz – can’t help you with that.
Prepping for Baby

Excited to become a BIG brother, E helped me put together the bassinet and bouncer (he had to wear his Bob the Builder hat to be able to help build). All infant electronics now have batteries. The nursery is finally coming together. The stacks of baby garb i’ve been given and collecting is slowly being organized.
Nesting in the Workplace

Work is full steam ahead. We are heading into event season, so this time more than ever is hectic. No more traveling, as Dr. P laid down the smack after my Blissdom trip. My maternity plan in place (watch for a post on developing this). It’s amazing how nesting sets in even in the workplace. I find myself compulsively going thru emails to make sure all bases are covered and scheduling meetings to develop plans to make sure all bows are tied and pretty. This time more than ever, makes me thankful for a team that is productive and can get things done.
34 days. 2 things are for sure.
- The next 34 days will NOT be boring.
- In the next 34 days our lives will be changed forever as we welcome our newest gift from God.

Yea! Can't wait to meet new baby Thornberg!
