Your baby now measures nearly 4 inches, about the size of a Kit Kat “finger” (regular-size, not the Big one you get at the movies), and weighs almost 2 ounces.
Wow! I’ve grown a Kit Kat “finger”! All of this vomitting, sleeping and eating and we are up to 4 inches and 2 ounces. I’m not sure exactly what to say, because I know my waist has grown by at least 4 inches. And check out how tight my butt is in the above picture! (couldn’t resist)
Overall, I am feeling better. Zofran is still my BFF. I get these insane cravings for food, but then the plate is delivered and I sit there and stare, pop a Zofran, eat a few bites – but I guess thats better than huffing down the plate.
Falling asleep, which I’ve always had a problem with (see here) – is no longer an issue. The problem I do have, is staying asleep. Today and yesterday, I’ve woken up at 4:30 and can’t get back to bed. It’s 6:22 am right now, and usually I am deep in la-la land.
I had the genius idea back in July, 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I awoke one early Sunday morning and decided that I’d sell our King bed and use the “pretty” queen bed so our bedroom wouldn’t look so bare. So, before my husband woke up, I had posted our old bed on Craigslist – listed his phone number – woke him up, let him know. The bed sold and was picked up within 3 hours. So what does that mean? Now we are stuck on a Queen bed – and i’m pregnant. My space is limited and my husband is all of a sudden an all-over the bed sleeper. My plan failed. I’m admitting this here, because I know my husband won’t read this. I am pretty sure this is not helping with sleep. But, the good news – we have furniture in our bedroom!
Anywhoo, the baby shopping has begun. I have chosen a crib and bedding. I’ve bought 2 strollers, a pack and play, diapers and wipes for the 1st 6 months, and about 30 bottles. Before you start thinking i’m insane – I am a bargain shopper.
Hoping as we round out our 4th month for that burst of 2nd trimester energy. Between work and life stresses, I could use it right about now.
