Happy Anniversary To Us – 11 Years Baby!

Today is our 11 year anniversary. 11 years… that are gone now like the blink of an eye. Well technically we eloped on January 2, 1998 — but our official official wedding-walk-down-the-aisle-date is August 22.

I was 19. He was 21. We didn’t know what the hell we were doing. I hadn’t been to a wedding since I was a little girl, so planning was a JOKE.  Our friends’ were busy graduating high school and starting college – while we were picking out a wedding cake.

Thinking back to the fact I was 19 baffles me. I see 19 year olds today and think “BABY”. Exactly, what I am sure the entire audience of our wedding was thinking. But we’ve done it. We’ve defied the odds and though it’s been a ride – we’ve had so much fun.

It’s not been easy, we’ve had our obstacles – but those things just make us stronger. We’re done with the days of bickering. Fighting is a rare occasion. Our focus has shifted from me to we – especially as our family grows.

2 kids and a baby on the way, a husband that loves me – I’m one lucky girl.

Thanks Baby Daddy for 11 wonderful years. I can’t wait to grow old with you.
