Oops. I Unintentionally Marketed Your Product. Thanks Social Media.

It started with a tweet. My husband bought some outrageously priced doggy fur scraper. I jokingly tweeted – but who would of thunk – in actuallity I was marketing a product.

From this tweet:

  • A friend phoned wanting to know if this worked
  • 2 success story comments on Facebook
  • 1 inquiry via Facebook
  • Furminator is now following me on Twitter

In addition to that – I am blogging about this device - say WHAT! I better get a free Furminator out of this.

Anywhoo – this just goes to show the power of social media. If my little world can influence the purchase of a few pricey pet products – imagine the power of several spreading the word of your brand.

And in case you are wondering… My husband loves the Furminator. So does our Pug, Animal.
